GREVE IN CHIANTI BECKONS: Perched atop a hill with breathtaking views of the Greve in Chianti valley, this historical castle offers an idyllic destination for a memorable vacation, enchanting wine tours, and even a fairy-tale wedding. The property boasts charming accommodations within the castle itself, as well as in their delightful outhouse, with a capacity to comfortably host up to 45 guests, including extra beds. A minimum stay of three nights is required to fully immerse yourself in the enchantment of this remarkable location.
Couples CAN:
Hold a religious ceremony here. The church of Santa Maria is located within the walls of the Castle. A small masterpiece immersed in the countryside of one of the most beautiful regions in Italy. The evocative setting of the church is perfect for an intimate and elegant Tuscan wedding. The church can accommodate between 70 to 75 guests.
Hold a civil ceremony here. Your ceremony can be held outdoors in the renaissance garden or in one of the ballrooms and can be officiated by a municipal official or by our private celebrant who will conduct the ceremony in English.
As far as locations for your reception, this is endless, from the ancient oak trees with views over the castle’s own vineyard and ideal for a cocktail party or cutting the cake. Capacity: up to 250 guests. The Terrace decorated with Florentine terracotta vases, trees, and flowers, but the true beauty of the terrace is the breathtaking view over the undulating hills of the Tuscan countryside.
Capacity: Banquet for up to 250 people. Internal courtyard, which makes this space even more special. It is a magical location for a “welcome cocktail” with your friends and family when they arrive at the Castle. It could also be a cosy space for ‘the cutting of the cake’ or to listen to music and dance after dinner. Capacity for up to 85 persons for cocktails or after dinner.
Ballrooms and there are 3 to choose from. Lorenzo, with access to the ballrooms from the courtyard. Banquet up to 150 persons. Rombi and Gigli which can accommodate up to 40 guests. The courtyard has a beautiful view of the castle’s medieval tower.
The possibilities at the castle are endless and this is the ideal location for large and small intimate weddings.
