Whether you’re chasing the perfect light for photos, planning an alfresco dinner under the stars, or avoiding the crowds, here’s a month-by-month guide to the best time to marry in each Italian region – complete with the wow, the wine, and the weather! So we start our adventure...... and if you do not agree we would love to receive your comments and feedback.

🌸 March – Apulia (Puglia)

White Mediterranean street with potted cacti and palms on stone steps. Bright sunlight casts sharp shadows. Peaceful and inviting atmosphere.

Why: Olive trees in bloom, wildflowers everywhere, and the crowds haven’t yet arrived. Aim for the end of March.

Weather:  Mild, around 15–18°C. This means that a shawl, light jacket can be worn.

Wow Factor: Ancient masserie, whitewashed towns like Ostuni, beautiful baroque cities like Lecce, and quiet beaches.

Wine Tip: Try a local Primitivo or Negroamaro — deep, rich reds perfect for those late spring evenings.

🌿 April – Tuscany

Why: Rolling hills which turn a lush green, temperatures are ideal, and you beat the high-season tourists.

Weather: 18–21°C and sunny with blue skies

Wow Factor: Vineyards, cypress-lined roads, and intimate countryside villas. Tuscany have created the perfect place for weddings

Wine Tip: Chianti, of course. It’s at its best when paired with a spring feast.

Three women on a boat, one in a white dress and two in blue, laughing joyfully with a calm sea in the background.

🌷 May – Lake Garda & the Italian Lakes

Why: The lakes sparkle, gardens are in full bloom, and everything feels fresh and romantic.

Weather: 20–24°C, ideal for outdoor ceremonies. However May can be a little temperamental so perhaps lean more towards the end of the month.

Wow Factor: Elegant lakeside villas, boat arrivals, and panoramic aperitivi.

Wine Tip: Lugana or Franciacorta – light, fresh and perfect for toasting.

Boats dot a bright blue sea with a mountainous coastline in the background, framed by lush green foliage, conveying a serene atmosphere.

☀️ June – Amalfi Coast & Capri

Why: Peak beauty, summer vibes without the extreme heat of July/August.

Weather: 25–28°C, breezy coastal air.

Wow Factor: Clifftop views, lemon groves, vibrant villages like Positano and Ravello.

Wine Tip: Falanghina or Greco di Tufo – bright, coastal whites.

Coastal landscape with turquoise water, rocky cliffs, and historic buildings. A serene sunset sky adds warmth, with purple flowers in the foreground.

🌞 July – Sicily

Why: For the bold couple who love heat, colour, and a dramatic setting.

Weather: 30°C+, hot and SUPER dry!

Wow Factor: Baroque cities, black-sand beaches (Aeolian Islands) and golden evening light.

Wine Tip: Nero d’Avola – bold and passionate, just like Sicily itself.

Riders in black cloaks and white masks parade on horses adorned with colorful flowers. Crowds watch from nearby steps. Festive ambiance.

🏖️ August – Sardinia

Why: For a beach wedding with turquoise waters and barefoot luxury or a small village where everyone celebrates

Weather: 28–32°C, dry and breezy.

Wow Factor: Secluded coves, stylish beach clubs, and island romance.

Wine Tip: Vermentino – crisp, clean, and made for seafood receptions.

Sunlit vineyard landscape with rows of green vines, morning mist, and a clear blue sky. Hills and trees in the distance create a serene view.

🍇 September – Piedmont

Why: Harvest season, vineyard colours, and gourmet food.

Weather: 22–26°C, gentle and golden.

Wow Factor: Truffle-rich menus, rolling vineyards, and elegant agriturismi.
